Fastvoi Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (MVP version)

1. About the service

Fastvoi is an app that turns what you say in Egyptian Arabic into organized tasks and reminders. It is provided by Fekri (hello@fastvoi.com) ("we"). The app is currently in an early trial phase (MVP) that starts on 15 October 2026 and ends on 15 December 2026 or when we announce its end in the app, whichever comes first.

2. Who can use the app

You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for your account and for the content you record.

3. Data we collect

Account data: your name and email from your Google account, the city you choose for prayer times, and your settings.
Voice recordings you send to the app (sent to be turned into text, then deleted; we never keep them), the transcripts made from them, the tasks the app understands, and any changes you make before saving.
Tasks you type or save, so they show on your phone and in your account.
Feedback you send us from Settings.
Device and usage data: device model, app version, your device's notification token, the number and cost of recordings, and crash reports (without your name, email or anything you said).

4. Your voice and your words

We never keep your voice recordings: each recording is sent to a speech-to-text provider to be understood, then deleted at once.

During the MVP phase only, and with your explicit consent, we keep the text transcripts of what you say and how the app understood them, for two purposes only: (a) statistics and measuring service quality, and (b) improving how the app understands Egyptian Arabic. A small number of Fastvoi team members may review them for these purposes, and every review is logged.

When the MVP phase ends, these transcripts will be deleted or fully anonymized within 30 days. We keep only the text of the tasks you save, which the app needs to work, for as long as your account exists.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

5. How we use your data

To run the app: understand what you say, save and sync your tasks, and remind you on time.
To send messages and notifications about the app itself (such as important updates). You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
To find and fix crashes, and to protect the service from abuse (such as the daily limits).
For statistics and better understanding, from kept transcripts only, and only if you agreed.

6. Service providers and where data is processed

OpenAI: speech-to-text (United States).
Anthropic: understanding what you said or typed and turning it into tasks (United States).
Railway: hosting the server and the database (European Union, the Netherlands).
Sentry: crash reports, without your name, email or anything you said (European Union).
Google Firebase and Expo: delivering notifications to your phone.

They process data on our behalf and only to run the service; they do not use it to train their models or for their own purposes. The AI providers may keep requests for a short time (up to 30 days) to monitor abuse, then delete them. Because these servers are outside Egypt, using the app means your data is transferred to them for these purposes.

7. Keeping your data safe

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the data is limited to the Fastvoi team, behind a password and a second verification code, and every view of your transcripts is logged. No protection is perfect, but we take reasonable care to protect your data.

8. How long we keep data, and deletion

Your account and tasks: as long as your account exists.
Transcripts kept with your consent: until you withdraw the consent or delete them, and no longer than section 4 says.
When you delete your account we delete all of its data at once; only a line in our internal log remains, saying that an account with an internal number was deleted, with no name or email. Backups are replaced automatically within 90 days, and crash reports are deleted within 90 days.

9. Your rights

See your data or get a copy of it by writing to us at hello@fastvoi.com.
Delete any task, or your whole account, at any time, from Settings → Privacy and your data.
Ask for your account to be deleted without the app, at https://fastvoi.com/delete-account.
Withdraw your consent to keeping transcripts at any time on the same page; we then delete your stored transcripts at once. You can keep using the app without this consent.

10. Free usage limits

During the MVP each user can make 10 voice recordings per day, reset at midnight Cairo time. Typed tasks have a generous fair-use limit (currently 50 a day) to protect the service. We may change these limits later and will tell you in advance.

11. Accuracy

The app uses AI and may misunderstand some words or times. Review every task before saving it. Do not rely on the app alone for critical times such as medication or emergencies. The service is provided "as is" during the MVP.

12. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to record other people without their knowledge, for anything illegal, or to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

13. Changes

We will notify you in the app before any significant change takes effect, and ask for your consent again if the way we use your voice or your words changes.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
